Oda Holt Günther

Biography

Oda Holt Günther (born 1999 in Oslo) is a versatile violinist with an impressive career as both a chamber musician and a soloist. She has performed as a soloist with several prestigious orchestras, including the Oslo Philharmonic, the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine. Oda studied at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin and has been a member of several renowned ensembles. In the fall of 2018, she was awarded the Øivind Bergh Memorial Prize for her “particularly mature and personal playing.” In March 2024, Oda took on the role of Concertmaster in the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, a position that highlights her significant achievements and recognition on the international music scene. Oda plays on a violin made by Carlo Giovanni Oddone, generously on loan from Sparebankstiftelsen Dextra.
